Diving week 14 – 20 Sept

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

We had fun week of diving with two guys from Florida. They chose the best weather they could, came after the tropical storms Hanna and Ike and before Josephine that caused lots of flooding in our area

We did many dives,  Park, Tortuga, wreck, Stingray point and cave dive, just to name a few.

Some highlights from the week of diving:

Tortuga – we saw school of  more then 10 eagle rays which is very unusual, they were about 30 ft away from us but guys were not looking so I made a mistake and used my shaker to get their attention instead of taking pictures first. Therefore the eagle rays changed the direction and swam away before I had a chance to take a single picture

Stingray point – the ocean was still little unsettled after the storms but we saw about 15 stingrays, and that was the least amount of stingrays we’ve seen diving there. Normally there are more then 50 of them.

Wreck St.George – we saw two huge barracudas

Last dive was the cave dive – the best dive of the week. No words can describe the beauty, so see some pictures instead.

Anchor, Dominicus reef

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Anchor is our favorite dive site for new divers. It’s shallow and lots to see.

The visibility was great, but unfortunately we didn’t have the underwater camera with us.
